Bossanova is shown to be the host of the race. He's also shown to be using some sort of device to make his voice sound deep.
Tales from the Borderlands[]
Bossanova is first introduced when Rhys drops the Vault Key, right when they realize its fake. Zer0 also shows up, demanding to know where the Gortys Project is. Bossanova says he has no idea what he's talking about, and grabs the money case and takes off. Later on, he is seen hosting the race. He offers bandits $20,000 to kill Zer0. At the end of the race, Zer0 ends up killing Bossanova, saying that Gortys isn't here. He then takes off.

While Rhys and Sasha try to get the $10 million, Zer0 jumps to Bossanova's high platform and they end up fighting. Bossanova can later be seen falling to the ground with Zer0 coming right after. He stabs Bossanova's in his "woofer", while the platform they were fighting on come tumbling down, crushing Bossanova.
